IACCR Meeting 0430: Countries learn from each other's experiences, Key Takeaways


The fifth international online discussion forum on community response to the COVID-19 virus was held online on April 30th from 10:00 to 13:00, which themed by the " Global Action against the pandemic ", focusing on helping different countries learn from each other's experience

The participants come from China, Japan, Mexico, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Myanmar, India, , and local members from different countries reported their conditions and mental health challenges which brought by COVID-19.


In the first part, Abdhesh Kumar Gangwar, Coordinator and Focal Point of RCE Srinaga shared the Indias experience in containing COVID-19. Then Zou Zhiqiang from Nepal office   country director in China foundation for poverty alleviation she shared their project to set up a hand washing station in Nepal to keep residents know virus and to distribute some epidemic prevention materials. Next Antonio CarmonaNational Coordinator of Unit in Mexico from Future Team MexicoSome of the things that were mentioned in his speech,such as raising public awareness, including public awareness, global awareness, value awareness, keeping proactive social distancing.


In the second part, Three experts from the Future Team Mexico shared their views separately. First ,Prof. Miguel Ángel Bravo Araiza shared some countries were being hit hard economically and were encouraged to diversify their industries. such as in Congo, the economy is heavily dependent on oil . and Prof.Luis Enrique Puente Báez shared something happened In Chile, before and after the COVID-19, there was a general increase in public awareness. Then Lic. Gisel Sarahi Vergara Herrera shared they use The power of culture and art to intervene in the pandemic and organize some artists to join in. and Emily from I You She, sharing the topic of the Demands Assessment and Triage Service Under COVID-19, Machao as a volunteer of Motorcade,he shared Experience in Prevention and Controlling for the COVID-19.This conference also have some other professors explained their topic about this pandemic, such as Zhang GuoyuanAslam Saja Lecturer and Sanjaya Uprety PhD.

In the third part, In view of the above conversation, our expert have some communication, such as On how Motorcade volunteers protect themselves.
