Since 2005, he has engaged in the development assistance work and successively worked in Beijing HongDandan Education and Cultural Exchange Center, Panzhihua Eastern Volunteers Association, Panzhihua Community Development and Research Center, and Chengdu Simai Social Work Service Center.

He managed and carried out dozens of development assistance programmes founded by the World Bank, the Canadian International Development Agency, the Australian Agency for International Development, Give 2 Asia and Trafigura International Foundation; He also took part in the emergency rescue and post-disaster reconstruction of the Wenchuan earthquake in Sichuan province, Yushu earthquake in Qinghai province and Ludian earthquake in Yunnan province.
